Located in Burnaby, B.C., Jones Food Store Equipment specializes in supermarket equipment, refrigeration systems and commmercial food storage facilities, and offers expert services to its clients.
JFSE's goal is to fulfil all food retailer and distributor's refrigeration and equipment needs. JFSE sells new and used refrigeration equipment, installs and services it, but more than that, JFSE offers advice and assistance on everything from store design and layout, to formulating a competitive marketing strategy.
JFSE has been doing business with major food retailers as well as independent retailers, servicing supermarkets to grocery stores and everything inbetween, since 1971. |
History
Back in 1949 grandfather Jones was working in the food industry and was selling the innovative Hussmann products until his retirement in 1968. Harold Jones began his apprenticeship in 1954 with Barrie Jones following in 1963.
In April 1971 Barrie and his cousin Harold Jones bought Domino Refrigeration and acquired the B.C. and Yukon distributorship for Hussmann. Hussmann was and is the world's largest refrigeration equipment manufacturer offering innovation, selection, and quality — strengths JFSE wanted to emulate.
The first thing Barrie and Harold did was hire five new employees. Since then, JFSE has grown into B.C.'s largest food store equipment sales and service firm. Harold retired in September 1996, but the tradition continues. |

A True Team
Barrie now oversees a management and marketing team which consists of Gary Evans, Installation and Service, Leo Belisle, Comptroller, Darin Jones, Operations, Steve Hamilton, CAD & Engineering, Randi Jones, Sales & Traffic, and account managers Bill Clarke and Robin Knowler. Together they have 140 years with JFSE.
This concentration of industry expertise is one of the characteristics that makes JFSE stand apart. It brings a powerful collaboration to solving problems and bringing creative solutions to their clients. They truly know their industry and products.
Their attitude of helping customers achieve goals and meet deadlines is a hallmark that has served everyone well. |
